Victoria Brazil
Victoria Brazil is an emergency physician, educator, simulation specialist and healthcare team coach.
She is Professor of Emergency Medicine and Medical Director of the Simulation Service at Gold Coast Health, and leads the Bond University Translational Simulation Collaborative. Victoria’s main interests are in connecting education with patient care - through translational simulation in healthcare, and in developing high performing healthcare teams.
She has authored over 80 peer reviewed publications in health professions education, simulation and teamwork in healthcare. Victoria also writes for the International Clinician Educators Network blog and is Senior Editor at Advances in Simulation. Victoria is co-producer of Simulcast, a podcast about healthcare simulation.

Simon Carley
Professor Simon Carley FRCEM, MPhil, MD, PhD is a Consultant in Adult and Paediatric Emergency Medicine at Manchester NHS Foundation Trust. He is also a Consultant in Enhanced Pre-Hospital Care with North West Air Ambulance, a BASICS doctor with North West Pre-Hospital Critical Care Charity and a MERIT doctor with North West Ambulance Service.
He is a Professor at the Manchester Academic Health Sciences Centre (University of Manchester) and visiting Professor at Manchester Metropolitan University. He is co-founder of the BestBets website, St.Emlyn’s social media learning platforms and the MSc in emergency medicine at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Dr.Paul Atkinson is a Professor in Emergency Medicine at Dalhousie University and Clinical AcademicHead for Emergency Medicine, Horizon Health Network, Saint John,NB, Canada.Heisthe currentAssistantDean, Researchat Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick;he isDeputyEditor of the Canadian Journal ofEmergency Medicine; and was previously Chief Medical Officer for WorkSafeNB, and has recently returnedto WorkSafeNB as Chief Medical Consultant. His internationalcareerbegan at the Queen’s University ofBelfast, followed by postgraduate programs inInternalMedicine in Belfast andEmergencyMedicine inCambridge, UK. He completed a fellowship at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia. He was afaculty member at Cambridge University and Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge,UKuntil 2009,beforemoving to Canadawhere he has beeninvolvedwith DMNB for the past 14 years.
